Fraser's Hill, Malaysia

Last Saturday, 16.05.2009, I went to Frazer's Hill for 1 day trip. This trip was not a planned trip, but it was only decided on the night before. So, 10am, Jessica and Me drove to Shah Alam to pick up Poh.

For breakfast, we headed to a restaurant that is famous for it's Char Siew. We order roasted duck, Char Siew and Siew Yok. You can find more information at http://juliansi.blogspot.com/2007/05/best-ever-char-siew-spring-golden-shah.html.

From Shah Alam, we followed the way towards Kepong, and then to Batu Caves. We opted for the other way instead of the normal way so that we could just explore the place and enjoy the sceneries, and to Test Power Poh's brother DSLR.

To go to Frazer's Hill below are the few optional way.

Option 1: (Which We Did)
Nilai - Shah Alam - Kepong - Batu Caves - Ulu Yam Lama - Batang Kali - Kuala Kubu Bharu - Fraser Hill

Option 2:
Nilai - Shah Alam - Kepong - Batu Caves - Selayang - Rawang - Batang Kali - KKB - Fraser Hill

Option 3:
Nilai - Shah Alam - Rawang - Batang Kali - KKB - Fraser Hill

Option 4:
Nilai - Shah Alam - Bukit Beruntung - Batang Kali - KKB - Fraser Hill

Option 5:
Nilai - Shah Alam - Sg Buloh - Kepong - Batu Cave - continue with option 1 or 2

Option 6:
Nilai - Shah Alam - Kepong - Karak Highway - Betong - Fraser Hill

Option 7
Please go to : http://maps.google.com.my/

First Stop- Ulu Yam Dam, or Batu Dam
The sceneries was so beautiful with its crystallize water surrounding by trees. How I wish I can just jump to the dam and swim in it.

Second stop- The Empangan Headquarter
Somehow somewhere, we managed to squeak in to view the sceneries. The structure of the damn is so wonderful, and there is a big hold where water flow inside.

After that, we continued our journey towards Fraser's Hill. When we reach at the GAP House (the first stop before going up to Fraser Hill), it was already 2:30pm. They way up to the hill will only be opened at 3pm. For your information, there will be a schedule for visitors to follow for driving up and down to Frazer Hill. There will be a driving gap of one hour each since the road is narrow.

Within less than half an hour, we reached Frazer's Hill, thanks to the driving skill of mine. The first interesting place we visited is THE TOILET... In Fraser's Hill, the landmark where everybody will take photo is the clock tower.

After enjoying the sceneries, it's time to go back. We almost can't find the way back to the main entrance as it was raining and getting dark and there was lost of mist. It reminds me of the movie The Mist based on the novel by Stephen King. Once the mist surrounds you, you really can't see anything. We are damn scared and panicked a little bit. Imagine doing a U-Turn at a small narrow road while the mist is getting close to you. But luckily, we managed to find our way. Actually all roads is connecting each other and will end up at the main point. The mist made us panic only. Anyway, when we reached the main point, we have to wait till 6pm before the road is open for drive down.

For dinner, we stopped by at Batang Kali for their famous Loh Mee. We managed to find the restaurant in a shortest time. We ordered a small portion of Loh Mee for 3 of us since we also planned to eat at other place. The food was really good, and to be honest, it's the best Loh Mee that I have ever had. I am not sure whether it's because we are damn hungry or what, but the taste is good- just enough black soy sauce and black vinegar. We also buy some cookies called 'Tau Sa Piah" and "Ma Tai Suk" at that shop. Wait, maybe it's "Loh Poh Ping". Im not sure, but who cares as long as it is nice.

After passed by Damansara, we stopped by at SS2 PJ. We ate at a road side stall selling Curry Noodles, Chee Cheong Fun and desserts such as Yi Mai Fu Cuk. And suddenly I realize that the game between Manchester and Arsenal is almost going to end. Well at this point, I don't really care as what ever the result, Arsenal will still get 4th position this season. And at that moment, my thought was to reach Nilai safely and A.S.A.P. and get a rest or watch ASTRO.

Kuala gandah Elephant Sanctuary

Feed the elephants? Bathe the elephants? Where can you do this kind of activities? The answer is Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary. Since this is a sanctuary, the number of visitors per day is limited, which is 100 visitors per day. I immediately asked LeLe to call the sanctuary and do the reservation for 5 pax. You can get more info at their website http://www.myelephants.org/.

We are lucky that we managed to do the reservation for that Saturday trip, even though we only do the reservation on that week. We even managed to book 5 yellow stickers, which means we can feed, ride and bathe the elephants. For those with red stickers, they can only feed and ride the elephants.

So, that Saturday, 25.04.2009, we start our journey in one car with the 5 of us- Ijay, Jess, Lele, Sek and Luke. First stop, breakfast at Batu Caves, where they served these nice "Wan Tan Hor" and Fish Porridge. We didn't took any photo because we are busy satisfying our empty stomach, but actually we are shy to take the food photo. I think this link http://www.awhiffoflemongrass.com/?p=370,
is the restaurant that we went.

After the nice breakfast, we continued our journey to to Karak Highway towards Kuantan, before exiting Lanchang Toll Plaza. From the exit, it took around 8km to reach to the elephant sanctuary. We reached there at 1pm, and we registered ourselves at the Visitor Registration Office. Since we had do the reservation earlier, we were given the yellow stickers to stick on our shirt. We change to the suitable attire since we are supposed to bath with the elephants.

First activities, Video Documentary show at 1:30pm. After the video show, we gathered at the respective area to feed the elephants. There were lots of fruits such as papayas, bananas and watermelons, and to be able to hand feed them personally is just an unforgettable experience. Second activities was riding the elephant. This is the first time for me to ride an elephant, and the first time for us (Jessica and me) to ride an elephant together too. So, I rode with Jes, Sek with LeLe and Luke rode alone.

After that, it was time to bath with the elephants. All we need to do is climb to the elephant from the platform, and after a few walks, the elephant will purposely felled down to the river to make the riders wet. Unfortunetly, I have to become the photographer and took the photo of others. Luke, Lele, Sek and Jess all felled to the river and were in soakingly wet condition. You can also bathe the elephant while you are in the river. After cleaning ourselves up, we went to the office to make some donation. It was truly a nice experience for us to be with the largest land mammals on the universe.

From the sanctuary, we headed to the deer park, which was situated about 5km from the sanctuary. We paid RM5 each for the entrance fee. Inside, we fed the deer, and touch lots of animals such as snakes, quails, hedgehogs, ostrich, rabbits and the best of all, The Malayan Sun Bear. We enjoyed our time with the beast as we managed to be closed with him. We left the park about an hour later.

Since waterfall is my passion right now, we decided to stop by at Bentong and search for Chamang Waterfall. The Chamang Fall can be reached by taking the road from Bentong to Raub- http://waterfallsofmalaysia.com/25chamang.php.
It is about 10km from Bentong Town. This waterfall is not really good for swimming, except for some good spots at the ground, where the pool is located. However, the view is breathtaking, with the water keep flowing drastically. Me and Luke decided to swim in the cool water for a while.

After Chamang Waterfall, we took our dinner at Bentong Town. After seaching and driving in this area, we came across this shop selling "Wan Tan Mee". We give it a try, but the taste was so so only, just to fill our empty stomach. We did also try the "Tong Sui" and "Yu Cha Koi" at a hawker stall where we parked our car. Finally, after settling some monetary issue, we headed home with a full stomach and money-cant buy experiences, especially with the elephants and the bear.

Earth Hour

Earth Hour is an annual international event created by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), held on the last Saturday of March, that asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change.

Based on an idea successfully executed in Thailand in 2005, it was pioneered by WWF Australia and the
Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, and achieved worldwide participation in 2008.

Earth Hour 2009 will be being taken to the next level, with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights as part of a global vote. Unlike any election in history, it is not about what country you’re from, but instead, what planet you’re from. VOTE EARTH is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. A call to stand up and take control over the future of our planet. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday. We all have a vote, and every single vote counts. Together we can take control of the future of our planet, for future generations.

VOTE EARTH by simply switching off your lights for one hour, and join the world for Earth Hour, Saturday, March 28, 8:30-9:30pm.

Earth Hour in Malaysia is planned and run by WWF-Malaysia and its partners. They welcome all parties to participate in Earth Hour on the 28th of March 2009 by turning off your lights for one hour from 8.30pm-9.30pm.

Here are 10 different ways to spend Earth Hour and reduce your carbon footprint:

  1. Attend a local Earth Hour event or organise your own by throwing an Earth Hour street party with your neighbours
  2. Gather family & friends for a night picnic in your local park and look at the stars
  3. Enjoy a family dinner by candlelight
  4. Organise a treasure hunt in the dark
  5. Take the dog for a night walk
  6. Have a candle-lit bath
  7. Sit in the dark and share stories
  8. Organise a family night playing board games
  9. Share a romantic night in with your loved one
  10. Upload your ‘on the night’ photos and videos to flickr and YouTube respectively, and then add them to the Earth Hour flickr group and the global Earth Hour flickr group and the global YouTube Group.

Please support Earth Hour

Kuala Linggi Fort

Fort Supai or Fort Linggi is located at Kuala Linggi Melaka, a border area between state of Melaka and State of Negeri Sembilan.

When you arrived at Kuala Linggi, the old fort is situated on top of the hill near Kuala Linggi River Mouth. Build in 1757 after the war between the Dutch and Bugis Clan fighting for the tin mining.

Was at this area while taking the back road from Melaka to Port Dickson on Sunday, Feb 22.

We entered through the jetty and walked to the end to reach this fort.

Pisang Waterfall a.k.a. Banana Waterfall

Date: 10th Jan 2009
Day: Saturday
5 of us, 1 expert, 1 semipro and 3 trainees

Do you know that underneath the Karak Highway, there is a tunnel called “Twin Tunnel” that leads to a waterfall called Pisang Waterfall or Banana Waterfall. Without permission, but, special thanks to this site http://www.henrychiah-photography.com/2007/11/sungai-pisang/ for the direction to Pisang Waterfall.

The trail difficulty is easy and the hike will take approximately 2 hours to and back via river and jungle trails to reach the waterfall.

Getting There and Away:-
Two stage to the destination
Stage 1
Pump House
Follow staright and pass by Batu Caves to Sri Gombak, turn in Karak Highway and turn left to UIA Gombak before the Karak Tol. You will reach the first traffic light and turn left. You will passby a Gombak School. Turn right when you reach another traffic light. Go straight along Jalan Gombak (Batu 12, Gombak). You will see a Jungle Lodge Alang Sedayu signboard at your left. Follow the signboard. You will come to a narrow road which goes up to a pump station. Park your car on the side and walk toward a pump house.
Stage 2
Waterfall
Passing the water pump house, go up to a slope and follow the small path proceed to the river trail. This is Sungai Pisang. Crossing the river until to the opposite river bank. Follow the path until you see a big twin tunnels. Go throught the tunnel and you will found yourself in a another part of the wonderland. Follow the trail until you see a red mark showing to the way to the waterfall. Keep treking until you hear the water flushing. Here you found the waterfall.

So, based on these directions, we managed to reach the waterfall, eventhough it tooks us a while to find the tunnel. The most important thing of all, we managed to enjoy the nature and dip into a cool pool, besides taking lots of photos.

Happy Tang Yuan Festival

December 22 2008 is The Chinese Tang Yuan Festival.

Tang Yuan is made from glutinous rice flour. This glutinous rice flour is mixed with a small amount of water to form balls and is then cooked and served in sweet broth. Tang Yuan can be either filled or unfilled.

In Melaka, normally it is unfilled and it is roll to form red and white balls.

By eating tang yuan, you will become one year older.

Gunung Datuk

Mountain: Gunung Datuk
Height: 870m/2900ft
Location: Rembau, Negeri Sembilan.
Day/ Date: Saturday, 6th Dec 2008

Since we planned that we shall go for at least one outdoor activities per month, so we decided to climb Gunung Datuk. The idea to climb this Gunung comes from my mountain expert colleague, Shew Mun. According to her, it is not hard to conquer this mountain, and without hesitation, we agreed blindly.

So, early Saturday morning, Shew Mun and her friend waited Joey at KNM Serdang, before Joey car pooled them to pick me up at Nilai. From Nilai, we took the PLUS Highway and exited Pedas/Linggi Toll. We headed towards Rembau and follow the signboard towards Gunung Datuk. The distance from the toll towards Gunung Datuk is approximately 45 minutes (not including the time wasting when we entered the wrong road to a rubber plantation). Luckily, we manage to ask an Ah Pek for direction.

Once we reached Gunung Datuk, we get prepared and start our climbing. At the bottom of the hill, there is a small bridge to cross a stream to the climbing starting point. Since im not a pro in hill climbing, as usual, the starters will climb eagerly. But after for a while, I asked Shew Mun and her friend to go ahead first, while me and Joey followed from behind. This resulting me and Joey reached the top 1 hour later than Shew Mun. This is because we took frequent break and there is no sense of urgentness to get to the top.

Actually, the route to the top is straight forward, but you have to climb it in 45 degree slope. We reached the rest area at the middle of the journey and took a rest for a while before proceed to the top. It took us around 2 hours to reach the top, but we must climb the huge rock to reach the top of the top. According to what I read, if the weather permits, the scenery of The Strait of Malacca will be there for our eyes to view.

The rock climbing with a few metal ladder strap that tied up with old ropes is quite scary. I am not sure since when the ropes and the ladder is there, but I do hope that the authorities replace it ASAP. Anyhow and anyway, Joey and me managed to get to the top and took some breathtaking pictures. The weather was good, but lots of mist, and therefore we can't view the Malacca Straits.

After we re-fill our lungs with some fresh air, we prepared to climb down. As usual, Shew Mun climbed down first, leaving Joey and me at the back taking our sweet time to go down. Half way down, it seems like it is going to rain, and we hurriedly speed up our steps. I feel that my knees almost plug out from the socked, besides feeling tired, exhausted and hungry. After around 1.5 hours, we managed to reach the bottom. I went to the small stream to clean myself and take a cool deep for a while. The water was refreshing and I feel that I want to sleep in the cool clean water.

After cleaning ourselves up, we headed home leaving a good sweet memory of Gunung Datuk. It was a good experience for me in order to achieves another level in Mountain Climbing.
I love outdoors.....

Romantic Lyrics

Nice songs, and good lyrics.....from an Indonesian band called Gigi.

11 Januari

Sebelas Januari bertemu,
menjalani kisah, cinta ini
Naluri berkata,
engkaulah, mi-lik-ku

Bahagia selalu dimiliki,
bertahun menjalani bersama mu
Ku nyatakan bahwa,
engkaulah, ji-wa-ku

Akulah penjaga mu
Akulah pelindung mu
Akulah pendamping mu
Di setiap langkah-langkah mu

Pernah ku menyakiti hati mu,

Kau sentuh, cinta ku,
dengan lembut…

2D1N Zoom Perak Season 2 Episode 2 Lata Kinjang

So, after a good warm hot water feeling at Sungkai, we continued our journey to Air Terjun Lata Kinjang. We was a bit worried that it might rain since it was cloudy at Sungkai. After leaving Tapah Toll, we followed the signboard all the way towards Chenderiang Village. This waterfall is located 5 kilometers from this village. Not a hard task for us, and to our surprised, it was hot and sunny when we reached there. We took a bite first at a stall before we climbed the waterfall.

This waterfall is over 800 feet tall, and is among the couple of highest waterfalls in Peninsula Malaysia. You can see it beside the highway if your having the journey to North.

The waterfall was huge and long, and it was fast flowing. Climbing to the best sport is not hard as there are staircase. We reached the highest permitted spot and luckily, the crowd is super less.

Then........the adventure begins........the water deym kewl...

Ulu Bendul Recreational Park

I wanted to go this place for so long cause it's the most famous recreational park in Negeri Sembilan. Further more, they have this Taman Ular. From Nilai, I took Plus Highway and exited Senawang Toll. From Senawang, I followed the signboard to Kuala Pilah.

It was crowded once I reached there about 5 pm. My expectation straight went down to negative zero as there were too many people. So, I just walk through this park, cruising the side walk beside the river. I don't even find it interesting to bath in the river.
Came across The Taman Ular, but as standard as Malaysian style, the park was close.
I am not sure it was close for renovation or due to the snake died.

The Journey of Air Salak and Bukit Rambai Boys and Gals

Here the story goes.....
After for about 27 years we know each other, this is the 2nd time we were having a trip together. First trip together, as far as I can think would be the Genting Highland Trip which I forget which year and which month already (Siew Fang, Le Le, Luke- can you refresh my mind?). Before I go any further, I would like to introduce my group of special friends; from kindergarten school to primary to secondary, and up to now. I am from Kampong Bukit Rambai (kampong meh??) and the next Kampong is Air Salak (this one sure kampong). The BR clan consist me(Ijay), Bong Kim Liew or Luke, Vincent Pang @ Kupang, Christina or Teena (now she moved to Ayer Keroh d), Jane (Working in Australia now, and come back once in while). And for the AS clan, they are Chin “Cicak” Hak Boon, Sek Tee Yong a.k.a. Father John, Yeo Le Le (maybe now we can called her Mother Yeo-joking yea), Aunty Beraunty already married, Heng Siew Fang and Teng yew Fong, and the lost world category, Ho Kai Tiong and Anthony Lee.

Can’t imagine we have known each other for about 27 years. Some already married, especially the gals, and as for the guys, still need to play play. Every year, during the Chinese New Year, we will visit each other and make a gathering so that we can update each other what’s going on in each other lives. Every year, we plan and plan to go somewhere, but as usual, gone with the wind. Everybody will forget about it and the next year gathering, will discuss the same thing again. Then forget, then discuss. It continued just like Karma until this year. This year, we plan and execute.

For this year, we have come out with something during our Chinese New Year gathering. And for the fist time in the history, everybody is so excited about this, and we pledge to each other that this year, we must make whatever trip we planned to be successful. Wow, it’s like we all are The Fellowship of The Ring…So, comes April. We start to plan. Plan punyak plan, email punyak email, call punya call, then Pulau Tioman is our final choice as it is nearer and cheaper. Furthermore, Vince and Teena had the phobia of traveling to Kay EL area (ha ha ha) and that’s why we all decided to start our journey from Melaka. Teena and especially Vince like to terperap in Melaka and they both make up the Melaka Information Ministry Department.

Our trip will be 3D2N from 29th Jun to 1st July and only 8 of Rambaian and Salakian will join this trip. And they are Ijay, Vince, Luke, Chin, Sek, Le Le, Christina and Jane. 5 male and 3 female. We will be staying at Panuba Inn Resort. I didn’t bring Jessica along as this is purely single trip. Sorry dear. But, we found out later that this is not single trip after all. Please continue reading to know more.

So, here we go. On the 29th early morning, we gathered at Christina house. Since her mum already wake up (taktau siapa suruh dia bangun pagi pagi ni), we asked her to become the camera gal and took our group photo before we start our journey to Tioman via Mersing jetty. She even pass some plastic bags (enough for 1 week vacation) to Luke so that Luke can put dirty clothes, or used it when he want to puke. So, we start out journey around 7:30 a.m. with 2 cars. One Kia Spectra Sport and one is Nissan Sentra. Both are black in colour. We took the exit of Ayer Keroh toll, and drive all the way to Air Hitam exit. Then, we stop by at Kluang (for Vincent, it’s Klu-ENG not Klu-ANG) for breakfast at Kluang Station, which is the original coffee shop which situated just beside Kluang Railway Station. We ate so many and it only cost us around RM28.

After that, we shoot up to Mersing. It took us another more than 1 hour (maybe 1 ½ hour) to reach Mersing jetty. After we parked our car at a field nearby, which are converted into parking lot (total parking fee for 3 days per car is around RM21), we walked to the Panuba Inn office. After registration and payment, we took to ferry to Tioman Island. The ferry was big, but it was not a comfortable ride for me, neither to few of them. The ferry has two compartment passengers sit, one side with the air-con and the other open air upstairs. Since upstairs passengers sit is crowded, we only managed to get the air-con passengers sit mix with the stink from the engine diesel. At first, everybody was like energetic and lively, taking picture here and there and posing like mad, even before the ferry was moving. Even the diesel stink smell couldn’t hamper our mood to take the photo. But after about 45 minutes of journey, everybody was like tired and sleepy, no energy and lemah semangat (poor spirits) due to the ferry was f**king slow with the diesel stinking smell. During the 3.5 hours journey to the resort, we went upstairs to of the ferry. Meaning- our resort was at the end of the island. The ferry stops many times before stops at our resort jetty.

At last, we reached Panuba Inn Resort, Tioman Island. What a relief and what a joy. Luckily, this area didn’t make our eyes soared, and we were happy to see that this area is our chosen destination. If previous stop or resort was our destination, then I think it will damper our mood. This area is quite clean and beautiful and don’t have many visitor, compared to previous resort, which is too pack and not so clean. Once we got down from the jetty, everybody was like..wow…ar……….syok…….then someone shout ( I think it’s me )- wei, jom group photo….Apa lagi…all gathered around and 1, 2 smelll…opsss 1,2 smile……photo was taken. Underneath the jetty, we saw a big big swamp of small fish (it’s not ikan bilis, but another type of small fish). When checked in time, my plan was interrupted. Since we only know that Jane and Chin are proudly announce as a couple, so they are given the weapon of choice to stay together. Original plan was 3 gals in one room, 2 guys and 3 guys in another room. This left us with no choice, but to sumbat one room with 4 boys and 2 gals in another room. I did asked Sek to stay with the gals to make it even, 3 in each rooms, but he resist. Maybe he is too scared or maybe he just like guys..hahah..sorry ok Sek (just kidding). And the gals said …ar..there goes my chance….hehehe.

After taking shower and resting, we met at the lobby at 4 p.m. We opted for jungle trekking after taking picture at the beach. The jungle trekking took about 1 ½ hours two way. It was a wonderful trekking along the way and we were still taking picture inside the jungle. Then, the moment of truth, it’s dinner time. The food was not bad, rice served with vegetables, sotong sambal, etc., and we ate until maximum because everybody was damn hungry. Furthermore, dinner was buffet style. After dinner, we lepak at the jetty- chatting and taking photo. After bored, we went back to our rooms to play some indoor card games. And the victim is Teena/ Le Le room….Fuh, lucky is not our room..hahaha..Sure later when sleeping, Teena and Le Le will feel gatal…hahaha. After a few card games, back to the rooms we go and we slept like pigs until the next day (hope the same for Chin and Jane).

The next day, all of us woke up early in the morning to have breakfast, except the couple. They came later to have breakfast. After breakfast, we wait for 10 a.m. for our boat riding and snorkeling. We had a great time at the first or morning session, but unfortunately, 2 macho guys, Vince and Luke can’t stand the sea waves and they got sea sick. Or even worst, Luke puke to the sea and coincidently, Sek jumped to the sea and luckily didn’t smack the puke. We took many photos, and some photos are very rare, special and memorable for us. For lunch, we went back to our resort and have a delicious lunch over there. After lunch, we continue snorkeling at 2 p.m..Around 4:30 p.m., we are back to the resort. Since we got nothing to do, we found a perfect place to rest and sleep at the beach under the tree. After the nap, we swam at the beach until 6:30 p.m. before heading for our dinner. Dinner was great; there were barbequed chicken and fish. After dinner, we lepak at the beach and jetty. Then, we lepak in Tina/ Le Le room again to have some chat, games and laughter. When midnight strikes, we all headed to our rooms and have a good sleep since we are all damn tired after boat riding and snorkeling the whole day. Zzzzzzzzz…….Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz…Oh wait…..we managed to create a special pantun….contrbuted by all of us, and with a special reading by Chin.

From Ayer Salak to Bukit Rambai,
Then to Ayer Keroh,
Tiba Panuba jalan tepi pantai,
Malam makan BBQ hangus, fuyoh!

The next day, which is the last day of our trip, we took the earliest boat at 8 a.m. after breakfast. But, I don’t dare to eat as I am scared my stomach will explode and I need to go to the toilet. Ferry toilet was small, and I can’t imagine doing my business inside there. Sure damn sweat. Goodbye Tioman…Goodbye Panuba….Around 11 a.m., we reached the Mersing jetty. This journey is much more comfortable than the first ferry ride and faster too. From Mersing, we start to move out to Kluang. We had our lunch there- chicken, duck, roasted pork, char siu, takua and black egg with rice. Nice food and we clean it up in a short time like a barbarian. From Kluang, we took the highway back to Ayer Keroh, Melaka and gathered at Christina house to settle all the outstanding items. Finally, with a tired face but internally happy feelings, we went back home and in our mind, everybody was like thinking for another trip. End of our Tioman journey.

And this is especially for Luke:-

Berhenti Kluang Makan Char-siu,
Semua licin tinggal kuah,
Siapa suruh bawa laju laju,
Kena speedtrap sendiri bayar lah.

To all of the guys and gals, hope you enjoy reading this, as some of the items are just for fun and not intended to hurt anyone feelings.
Let’s have another memorable trip in the future.

Thierry Henry First Hat-trick

Saturday, Sept 29- Ciudad de Valencia Stadium, Spain

Levante 1-4 Barcelona

Thierry Henry scored a hat-trick to steer Barcelona to a 4-1 win at bottom club Levante in the Primera Liga on Saturday.

The France striker had notched his first Barca goal in the 3-0 victory over Olympique Lyon in the Champions League last week and broke his Primera Liga duck with two early goals against Levante.

The former Arsenal striker netted after 17, 24 and 48 minutes to end his Primera Liga goal drought and set Barcelona on the road to a comprehensive victory which sees them move provisionally top of the Primera Liga.

Henry completed his hat-trick just after the restart and almost immediately Argentina's Lionel Messi made it four.

Well Done TH...

Memories of the late 70's and 80's baby

If you are late 70’s and early 80’s Malaysian baby, please read through this and you will smile and think back of the old memories. I don’t know who wrote this article which was circulated through the email, but it was an interesting article and I decided to post it on my blog.

We grew up watching….Transformers, Thundercats, Woody Woodpecker, Chipmunks, Mickey Mouse, Jem, Mask,Ninja Turtles, Voltron, Baja Hitam, Ultraman and not forgetting POWER RANGERS, BUGS BUNNY, A Team, Knightrider and McGyver. Do you remember the time when we were so carefree and actually had almost everything done for us by our parents? Not to forget our 'program minum susu' in primary school. Everybody is supposed to buy like cartons of milk that costs 30 cents and you would see everyone drinking it everyday...its d UHT milk...also... our 'Vitagen program'.

The teachers who would want to punish us must use yellow ruler to hit us on our palms. 1 metre length or rub 'cili padi' on our lips or strip us off our pants(guys tau taulah). That a bowl of laksa, nasi lemak or roti canai only cost less than 50 cents at the school canteen and it tasted so damn good. We went to some sundry shop near the school or to the 'roti' man waiting outside our schools so that we can buy junk food like chickedees, mamee, ding dang, Tora (with some toys in it), 'Ti Kam', and ice-cream and we would play games like monopoly, uno, old maid, and all other card games(car, train, airplanes) like that.

Another fun time would be during Pendidikan Jasmani(PJ). We would play football ... almost the whole class chasing for the ball... some barefooted...some wearing their white canvas school shoes and it would be like we were playing in the world cup. But of course, the best would be playing plastic ball, bottlecaps, ice-cream sticks, 'Gala Panjang', Police & Thief catching, 'kunda kundi' and for the not so active, those kind of 'book games' where we would use buku latihan to draw and ask our friends to play...(tick tack toe and many more).

Do you remember the ice-cream tubes (ASAM BOI) which are actually ice and colouring that are sold for 10 to 20 cents? The colourful ones are where you usually bite off the top to glup it down. Grapes tastes d best..(pop-ice). What about the days when we felt like doing naughty things such as folding papers so small to make 'lastik' and shoot at each other... how about throwing chalks? Back then, Micheal Jackson was just turning white and still had albums coming out.. compared to CD's, we were listening to tapes that sold for RM5.90. Going to school is an adventure by itself. Some of us take the 'uncle bus' or 'auntie bus'. Some ride their bicycles and convoy to school while some just walk to school with friends joking, laughing and disturbing school girls along the way (siapa makan cili dia rasa pedas).

We may have already lost some of our dear friends along the way who have either passed away, migrated abroad or just missing in action. But the memories during our time will never fade and shall be remembered as long as we live.

Arsenal Won The Emirates Cup

Congratulations to Arsenal for winning The Emirates Cup 2007.

They beat beat both PSG and Inter Milan with the score of 2-1 to be at the top of the table.

After all, this cup should remain at where it is.

It's good to see the lads performing well and they deserved what they get.

It is also interesting to see some young and future talents of Arsenal played in this tournament. Their skilled and hard work rate really excites the Arsenal fans.

The Emirates Cup is an annual two-day pre-season football tournament held at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium in London, England and it is hosted by Premier League side Arsenal.

The inaugural Emirates Cup took place on 28 and 29 July 2007 and featured the hosts, as well as reigning Serie A Champions Inter Milan, French side Paris Saint-Germain and Spanish outfit Valencia (having replaced Hamburg SV, who had to pull out of the tournament because of Intertoto Cup commitments Each team played two matches, with three points awarded for a win, one point for a draw, and a point for every goal scored. Arsenal did not play against Valencia, and Inter Milan did not play against Paris Saint-Germain.

I hope by winning this tournament, it will motivate the lads and gear up them for real challenges ahead in the Premier League and European Competition.

Gunners Bulleh!!!!

My Other Baby

Sugar Glider? Not many people have heard about this small animal, or even see it. Well, for the first time I saw them at a pet shop, I said to myself that I am really going to have it as my pet.

Finally, I managed to buy it at Rm500 for a pair last year around March and until today, they are healthy and still grows. I named my baby Snowball(male) and Snowflake(female).

AFC Asian Cup 2007 1st Semifinal

Yesterday, one of my colleague asks me to accompany him to watch the game between Iraq and Korea at Bukit Jalil National Stadium. It was the 1st Semi, and the 2nd Semi would be between Japan and Saudi Arabia at My Dinh National Stadium, Hanoi. Without hesitation, I agree to watch since I can't find any kaki to watch with me for the last 3 games at the stadium. We move from the office sharp at 5:40pm and direct shoot to Bukit Jalil through the Sungai Besi toll. Stop by at McD to buy some burgers. It was raining a little bit, but nothing can stop our eager mood. The traffic was a bit heavy at Bukt Jalil and we parked far from the stadium. So, each of us took an umbrella and walk to the stadium.

Unexpectedly, there were many people over there- the Koreans, Iraqis, Arabians, Malaysians, and many more. We thought since the Malaysian Team is out of this tournament already (they played “so good” until they are out), there should be less people, but I am happy to see many fans over there. We queue up to buy the ticket, but suddenly a guy approached us whether we want to buy his ticket - Rm30 ticket for Rm10. So, we just grab the ticket and pass him Rm20 and walk quickly to the entrance since we were already late 20 mins.

Once inside the stadium, we need to put our umbrellas at one area. Then, we manage to find 2 seats in the Iraqis fan area. The environment was good, with both team fans cheering loud their National Team. Score at 1st half still nil-nil. In 2dn half, we change our sittings to Korean fans area. It is even more fantastic environment. But, I need to control, since I support Iraq, while my friend support the Koreans. The game was good, with each team attacking and defending against each other. After 90 mins, it was a scoreless draw, The game had to go into extra time for another 30mins. After extra time, the score still nil-nil and penalty shootout has to be decided. Luckily, the penalty shootout was just in front of my sitting place, and I managed to see it clearly.

Finally, after much tensions and worries among the fans, Iraq managed to win the penalty shootout. The players and fans become wild and cheering loud and louder. Overall, I had a good experience watching the match. This will be my 1st Asian Cup game at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, but who knows, maybe next time, I will watch it somewhere else. Even though the stadium with a capacity of 100k only manage to attract around 5000 fans, but the atmosphere was fantastic and great. I can't imagine if the stadium is full, for example like Emirates Stadium (yeah, I am an Arsenal die hard fan) or Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain, then it will be superb. I will probably saves money and for once in my life, watch a game at the Emirates Stadium. Gone gone my Rm5000 if I manage to go.

Viva to the AFC Asian Cup 2007.

Baywatch at Tanjung Sepat

Last Saturday(14-Jul), I went to Tanjong Sepat to have seafood dinner with my gf and a friend. We went to this restaurant called Baywatch Restaurant, where Jason(from the show Taste with Jason on Astro Chn 19) dine at one of his episode.
Since we were damn hungry after reaching there quite late around 9pm) , our grand dishes were oyster, fish, sotong a.k.a. squid, crab, vege, oyster and clams.

The food was good (maybe due to the hungry stomach), but overall, the food and the place combination is excellent. You can have your dinner peacefully and just enjoy the sea breeze since this restaurant is located just beside the beach. The price was moderate, as I am sure for 3 of us, it is not so expensive neither not so cheap.

1st Experience of F1

Last week on the 7th and 8th of April 07, I went to the F1 race at Sepang. It was a first experience for me to watch this race and the first time too that I went to the Sepang Circuit. Well, it was a truly great and superb experience for me as I managed to view the qualifying race in the Grand Stand, but for the race day, I viewed it from the covered roof sitting. The ticket price for Grand Stand sitting is RM1200, and I managed to sit in front of the Ferrari and McLaren paddock. Don’t worry, I didn’t purchase the ticket, or else I will be broke, but I “borrowed” it from a friend who got extra ticket on the qualifying day. Parking fee near the main entrance alone cost RM150 and there were 5 of us in one car. From the main entrance, I need to walk around 10-15 minutes under the hot red spicy sun to the gate entrance.

Along the way, many F&B stalls and F1 merchandise stalls had been set up. The set lunch is standard, RM25 while drinks such as Coke and small mineral water is RM5. Many Ferrari supporters were here as everywhere you look, you can see red colour. The red hot sun didn’t damper their interest. After showing the ticket, I went to find the sitting of the ticket number. It was a good sitting as it was in front of the of the two famous team paddock, Ferrari driven by Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa and McLaren driven by Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton. Qualifying starts at 2 pm. I need to use the ear plug due to the sound is super maximum. It was a great race, as I managed to watch the pit stop of both Team Ferrari and McLaren and Ferrari Massa managed to take over McLaren Alonso at the last remaining qualifying time to take the pole position. Kimi Raikkonen took the 3rd position while Hamilton in fourth. Another driver which has many local supporters due to the involvement of Petronas as the, BMW Sauber F1 premium partner, Nick Heidfeld managed to get the 5th position.

For the race day, my ticket is for covered sitting RM150. Parking ticket is RM50 under the palm oil tree and need to walk for about 10 minutes to the gate entrance. Since we (me and a few friends) already knew we can’t bring any food or drinks, we decided to smuggle a few mineral water in and we easily managed to do it. Mission accomplish. After they check our ticket, we look for a comfortable spot and managed to find one in front of a so called big screen. So, we spread the mat, joking around and wait for the race to start at 3pm. Once the race start, everybody was making noise here and there to show their support o their favourite team. We wait and waited until 56 laps to finish which finally had been won by McLaren Alonso. What disappoint me was Raikkonen didn’t manage to beat Alonso and Massa drops form 1st place to 5th place. Another driver which has many local supporters due to the involvement of Petronas as the BMW Sauber F1 premium partner, Nick Heidfeld managed to get the 4th position.

Buah Keluak

As a Peranakan@Babanyonya, I believe many of us know about the existing of this so called fruit or nut or er......whatever it is called......Buah Keluak. The Peranakan uses these nuts to cooked one of the sought after special delicacies, called Ayam Masak Buah Keluak. Not many people knows how to eat this nut, some may like it and some may totally don't like the nut taste. Even some Peranakan is not familiar with this nut and don't like it too. My mum usually get it from the Pasar Borong or Wet Market, but i am not sure whether this fruit is available at Tesco, Carrefour and etc. It's around Rm9 per pack for 20 nuts.

Buah Keluak nuts come from the Kepayang tree or Pangium edule which is found only in the forest of Indonesia and certain parts of Malaysia. Buah Keluak is a black or dark brown nut from and about the size of and shape of flattened golf ball or Brazil nut. Almost every part of this tree and fruit are poisonous and in fact extract from the crushed seeds can be used to make poisoned tipped arrows. The reason for this is that the plant material is rich in cyanide or prussic acid. To prepare the seeds, they are often buried underground coated in ashes for as long as 40 days, then boiled and cleaned. This process should remove the poisons. However, to be safe, it is recommended that before cooking, please soak the Buah Keluak over-night (my mum soaked it for about one week) in a bowl of water and then, wash it.

After is it soaked and washed, it is used to cook a dish called Ayam Masak Buah Keluak. This dish is simply superb delicious and I am sure, once you try it, you’ll want it for more. You can get it easily at a Babanyonya or Peranakan Restaurant, but it is a bit expensive from other dishes. Anyway, restaurant cooked Ayam Masak Buah Keluak simply can’t match my mum’s cooking. I give 5 + 1 star to my mum's Ayam Masak Buah Keluak.

Fat Sam Finally Bow to Wenger

Apart from the Valentine Day on the 14th Feb, there was also a football FA Cup match between Bolton and visitors, Arsenal. The result was perfectly completed my Valentine Day. Arsenal, after misses so many chances to win comfortably, finally won against their so called bogey team with the score of 1-3 after extra time.

This game was really exciting and tremendously increases my adrenalin level for the whole 120 minutes. The score was a magnificent result for Arsenal, who last year was beaten by them at Reebok Stadium for the English Premier League game.

Bolton manager, grumpy old fat Sam, Sam Allardyce finally has to bow to genius Wenger, who fielded two young center midfield together for the first time, Denilson and Diaby. They perform well and truly fit the philosophy and vision of Arsene Wenger to create a team of Wonder kids.

For me, this result can be considered as a double valentine celebration. Apart from having a nice wonderful steamboat with my girlfriend, this result completed the perfect celebration.

My Doggy Dog Poppy

Here’s the picture of my dog.
He has a nice fur and a strong body build up.
He would run wild once I let him out of the cage.
To ask him back into the cage, all I need to do is to throw a piece
of any kind of food into the cage and he will automatically jump into it.

2007- Where It All Begins

2;38 am, Wed

2 days had been gone since year 2006. It has been a great year for me.
Why? I feel like i am more enjoying my life last year.
This is the most important for me. Work hard and smart, but play hard.
My relationship in my social circle is improving too.

2007- I hope it will be even more great than 2006.
I turn 27 this year and will have 3 years before i turn to 30.
It's not impossible to become a millionaire in 3 more years.
If luck is with me, who knows. 27 years old makes me more mature
and more responsible. No more underage thinking.
"With great powers, comes great responsibility"- I like this quote.
I would like to take more responsibility and work hard to achieve all
my dreams. Dreaming alone would not help me, but i must make sure that
I'll work harder. But remember, sometimes a dreamer is not a loser.

I need to save more money in this year.
Must do my own budget and must control my spending.
Need to cut down all the unnecessary buying and reduce certain
entertainments. More money more happy. Hope that I'll be
health -free by exercise more often and have a balance diet.
No more frequent nasi lemak or roti canai or supper. Wow, this items
are monstrous food. Bad for health, but good to eat.
How i wish i can restrain myself from all the Malaysians food that
surrounds me...tahan, sabar, sabar...tahan..telan air liur....heheheh
Anyway, i look forward myself in 2007 and hope it brings me the bestest luck.

Goodbye 2006, Hello 2007.
May god bless me............

Happy New Year 2007

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2007
May all the dreams come true in this year.
All we need is work a bit more harder and most of all, luck.....
I feel my luck is good on 2007.
Wish my family, my relatives and all my friends a good and
prosperous new year.

Heavenly Bali

Having a 4D3N trip to Bali from 3rd until 6th September 2006.
Package by AirAsia that includes accommodation.
This was my major trip in 2006.
Was thinking about Bali too long before finally make the move.
Manage to find a good tour package with a good driver and a
good tour guide. OMG- it's too cheap. Rm82 per day. Entrance
ticket and lunch provided. They even open the car door for
you everytime you stop somewhere. Eveything's perfect and
wonderful. Thinking to go again somewhere in 2007.
Beer is cheap, but not for the food, which is moderate price.
Below is the picture which i took and i like it.
Was in front of the Hard Rock Cafe, which was been hit by a bomb
somewhere a few months ago.

Special Strawberry Mooncake

The Mooncake Festival is long time over.
This year it falls on the late of September until middle of October.
I guess it's too late for me to blog about this, but I just want to share a picture of a nice and soft Mooncake that I have ever eaten.
The filing is made from yam and with strawberry topping. For me, this is the best Mooncake that I have ever eaten. Not too sweet, but just nice and ngam ngam according to my taste. Unfortunately, I can’t remember who is the maker of this Mooncake. But next year, I guess, when there is a will, there will be a way to find this Mooncake.

Why No Blog So Long

Hello all,

It has been a long time since I wrote something in my blog. Just don’t have the feeling or I can say, lazy to write and post something here. The last post was on September and today, I feel the energy and passion to write something. Maybe it’s due to I am too free today and got nothing to do at work. Don't get misunderstood- too free doesn’t mean l have no work, but I settled all my outstanding work for today. Tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, different task will find me. Since I have the time today, why not I just post something to past my time and for 5:30pm to come.

Today, I am happy cause there will be a UEFA Champions League football match between the one and only my favorite team Arsenal, who will be against Porto. This match is very important to both teams. Defeat to any of the team, means out of the last 16 round (2ns Stage) and draw means both team qualified. I hope my team can defeat them, but dif it is a draw, then no problem.

Lately, my mind always think of holiday and vacation. This happen since I came back from the Penyu Trip. Went to Penang on September and on November, went to Bali. Next year onwards, I promise to myself, each month must go to somewhere or do something like camping, jungle trekking or etc. Plan …plan and plan…..spend money..spend money….no saving…no saving.. hahaha Chow………….

Exotic Malaysia-lah

When you speak to Malaysians, you will notice the word “lah” frequently used in their conversation. What is the meaning actually?

The word "Lah" is a word in Bahasa Malaysia which means to add emphasis to a word or phrase. "Just do it" for example, would roughly translate into "Buat sahaja" but more forcefulness would be obtained by using “Buatlah sahaja”.

For example, if someone calling you and you need to ask him or her to wait, the polite way should be “Sila tunggu sekejap”. But, if he’s keep calling your name, you just say “Tunggulah” or “Wait-lah”. This is to emphasis that you have heard him at the first place.

This word has been part of the Malaysian life and you can hear this word almost everywhere. Its like stuck in our daily conversation and it has been part of our culture.
Enjoy-lah!

Some of the many applications of "lah"

Coaxing: Come on-lah; don't be like that-lah; please-lah
Forceful: Shut up-lah; get out-lah; go to hell-lah
Apologetic: Sorry-lah
Fed up: Enough-lah
Really fed up: ****-lah
Definite: Of course-lah; sure-lah
Generous: Take some more-lah
Unyielding: Cannot-lah
Dumbfounded: What-lah
Reluctant: Dowan-lah! (A contraction of "don't want-lah")
Suggestive: Try-lah
Agreeable: Okay-lah
Disagreeable: Your head-lah

Pulut Tekan

Just want to introduce a special traditional BabaNyonya delicacy.

Pulut Tekan is just a plain glutinous rice cake. It is served with Kaya. Kaya is a jam made from coconuts and eggs, flavoured by the unique Pandan leaves, and sweetened with sugar. It tastes sweet and somewhat creamy, and is available as either a green or brown colored spread, depending on how much Pandan leaves is added to it.

The glutinous rice cakes are coloured with Bunga Telang. The half-cooked glutinous rice is divided into two portions. Both are them added with coconut milk but one of them is added with the Bunga Telang juice. This gives the rice cake a very bright bluish-indigo colour which is appealing to children. The half-cooked glutinous rice is then scooped in alternating fashion into the original tray to give it a marble effect of blue and white. The rice is then cooked some more and when it is cooked and cooled, it is cut into tall rectangular.

Congratulations to Chai Hong

Last Sunday, I attended my friend wedding dinner at this new restaurant, LTP Restaurant, Malim Jaya, Melaka. She was one of the closest friends that I know since studying in Form 6. And she came from the same area as me, the home sweet home Bukit Rambai.

I just want to take this opportunity to congratulates her and hope she’ll be a good wife and mother. Not sure how many children she want to produce, but hope she’ll increase the Chinese community.

Congratulations and Good Luck!

The Wicker Man

Last Thursday, 21 September 2006, me and my gf went to TGV Jusco, Seremban to watch a movie called The Wicker Man. Actually, my plan is to watch DOA (Dead or Alive), an action movie that consist of gorgeous ladies fighter based on the game from Microsoft X-Box. But when I reach there, my gf told me that her friends said this movie was NG. So, we chose The Wicker man as our victim. I have no idea or whatsoever information about this movie. What I saw was only this movie poster with Nicholas Cage on it. Well since he is a good and well known actor, why not?

Well, this movie is about....Please check it online at www.gsc.com.my or surf Yahoo Movies for more details.

Overall, this movie keeps you awake for 1Hour and 45minutes because you need to wait until end to find out the truth or reason behind all the mysteries.
It’s quite tense and makes you wonder and scared sometimes. But I totally didn’t expect the ending. Nicholas Cage, as the hero, becomes the Wicker Man and was burn to death by her own daughter together with other domestic animals for ritual sacrifices.

Manchester United 0: Arsenal 1

16th September 2006
Manchester United 0: Arsenal 1
Venue: - Old Trafford Stadium

Although I am suppose to pose this blog right after the famous victory, but I don't have the time to do it. I am quite busy with my job and other personal stuff. I guess, most of the football fans in the world jumps happily when The Gunners outgunned The red Devils by a small margin of 1-0. The reason I say so is because there are many Anti-ManU supporters in this world. Well, I am one of the members too. The reason I hate them is they are too arrogant, not only the players, but especially their Managers, the red face Alex Ferguson. Well, the Anti-ManU supporters should thanks Arsenal then and hope that other teams can beat them as well, especially in throwing them out of the European Champions League, UCL.

The rivalry between Arsenal and Manchester United has been so long and tense and it's the famous one if compare to other club in their own league. It is even tense than Liverpool Vs Chelsea or Barcelona Vs Real Madrid. Vieira and Keane? I guess, every other supporters of this 2 famous club were well known about this 2 ex-club captain and their opposition and detestation. As a diehard Arsenal fans, every games between these 2 clubs will be a must watch, no matter who win. Arsenal had long time didn’t taste a win at Old Trafford or I can say, long time Arsenal didn’t defeat them since the FA Cup Final win on penalty 5-4 last 2 years.

16th Sept 2006
- Arsenal got what they deserved to get. We stop the perfect run of United and even so sweet, we outgunned them in the final 5 minutes of the match. This Arsenal team, captained by the hard working Gilberto and engineered by the super wonder extra genius kid, 19th year old Fabregas, plays so magnificent football and defeat The Red Devils. Even though they didn’t have the most prolific striker in the world, Henry in the line up, due to foot injury, this didn’t stop Arsenal from winning. In Adebayor we trust. So, he scored one of the best goals of his carrier and to score against team such as United, it makes it more memorable.

I dedicated this post and picture to the ever hard working of the 11 man Arsenal that defeated United. I personally congratulated the team manager, the ever brilliant Arsene Wenger.10 points to all of them.

Dedicated to my Boo

This lyrics that I picked up from Jack Johnson was specially dedicated to my boo. Wanna thanks her for all the time that she spend with me.

There's no combination of words
I could put on the back of a postcard
No song I could sing But I can try for your heart
Our dreams, and they are made out of real things
Love is the answer,
At least for most of the questions in my heart
It's not always easy and Sometimes life can be deceiving
I'll tell you one thing its always better when we're together
Its always better when we're together
Look at the stars when we're together
Its always better when we're together
And all of these moments
Just might find there way into my dreams tonight
But I know that theyll be gone
When the morning light sings
And brings new things
But tomorrow night you see
That theyll be gone too
Too many things I have to do
But if all of these dreams might find there way
Into my day to day scene
Ill be under the impression
I was somewhere in between
With only two Just me and you
Not so many things we got to do
Or places we got to be
We'll Sit beneath the mango tree
Its always better when we're together
We're somewhere in between together
Its always better when we're together
Yeah, its always better when we're together
I believe in memories
They look so, so pretty when I sleep
Hey now, and when I wake up,
You look so pretty sleeping next to me
But there is not enough time,
And there is no song I could sing
And there is no, combination of words I could say
But I will still tell you one thing
We're Better together

Forever and ever, I’ll love you.

Click

Yesterday (Wednesday), I went to watch this movie called CLICK at TGV Jusco, Seremban. It starred Adam Sandler, as the main actor with Kate Beckinsale.
It was a good movie (rating 5 out of 5) and the joke was totally exciting and funny. I have discovered some funny and good things about this movie.

The funny things were this sentenced:-

1) Britney Spears has given birth to her 23rd child and her husband, Kevin Federline will look for a job now.

2) Michael Jackson was the first man to clone himself and right now are suing his clone due to he is molesting him.

And the good lesson I learned:-

1) Family First, Work later

2) Honeymoon First

So, for those who haven’t watched this movie, please do so because it is better than THE DA VINCI CODE.

Leatherback Turtle or NoMoreComeback Turtle

Last Sunday, there was this news about the species of Leatherback Turtle on the front page of The Star Newspaper, not Nanyang Siang Pau or Tamil Nessan, but The Star. The sad news is that they are reported totally extinct in Malaysia due to no more sighting of them landing at Rantau Abang, Terengganu and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) declares that the beleaguered leatherback of Terengganu was “effectively extinct”. But, this was denied by the Turtle and Marine Ecosystem Centre (Tumec) of Malaysia - the national agency mandated to save the turtle – that the turtles were still laying eggs and technically not extinct yet. According to them, to date, there have been five nesting by two leatherback turtles documented this season on the beaches of Dungun, Terengganu and their exact locations are being kept secret.
While agreeing that the population of leatherback turtles, which nest in a few beaches in the world, is on the decline, TUMEC insisted that it was not extinct but merely critically-endangered. In Rantau Abang, the statistics reveal the tragic fact that nestings have dwindled from the thousands in the 1960s to a meager average of 30 per season since 2000; a drastic 90% reduction in around two decades. It may be a case of semantics perhaps, but the fact remains that the majestic leatherback nestings that spawned a turtle-watching tourism industry from the 1960s right up to the 1980s will go down as a sad chapter in the nation’s environmental history. The eggs laid since 2001 did not produce any hatchlings because they were not fertilized by a male turtle. Scientists predict that for every one thousand hatchlings produced; only one will reach adulthood to sustain the population.
This was a sad sad situation for all of Malaysian and generally to the world. This species of turtle must not be extinct due to it is the biggest turtle in the world.
After my experienced being the volunteer for the Ma Daerah Turtle Sanctuary for Green Turtle, I have totally begin to like all of the turtle species and vow to myself that I will make sure that future generations still can see this turtle. How? I am not sure, but one way to help is not to consume any turtle eggs. And I do hope that many of us can have their picture taken as attach.

Ah Beng shirt and pants – RM20
Petrol and Tol – RM60
Challet – RM30
Turtle experiences - Priceless,
For others, there’s Mastercard and Visacard.

Superciliousness Chelsea

Last Sunday was the best moment before the start of the EPL season.
Community Shield Live Score: - Chelsea 1 Liverpool 2
I was not too surprised to see the result as I believe Liverpool will pound the super egotistical Maurinho and his man.
Well done Liverpool, but, this doesn’t mean that Liverpool is my team.
GUNNERS ARE THE KING OF ENGLAND.
Chelsea was gunned down by their arrogance and thus it proves that money isn’t everything and Maurinho sucks.
Lampard who?
After this game, I believe they will not be as strong as last year and many teams can beat them.
Arsenal and Man United should be able to beat them.
Viva La Gunners……..
And I can’t wait for Sheffield United to beat Chelsea.
And now I hate Chelsea more than I hate Man United.

Sunday is my CSI Day. Whole day watching Astro.
One show that I really recommended to viewers is from C10 Hallmark title Edge of America.

Another show that I’ll always watch is TV8 Ho Chak.

Working on Saturday

Now is 9am in the morning of 12th August 2006.
Before that, would like to wish my best pal Luke Happy 26th Birthday.
May all the luck be with you. Why the hell I am working today? Well, I need to support production as they are running full today. Today considered under OT, which I can get around RM80.
Working on Saturday totally sucks some time, unless you really really got nothing to do on this day. Otherwise, I rather do other thing than come back to work. Tomorrow is Sunday, and I’ll have only one day to rest. Not sure enough or not, but for sure, I’ll sleep like pig. Chow….

BabaNyonya

Are you Malay? This is a frequently question that I received from human beings when I tell them I am a BABANYONYA. I wonder why until now, there are people out there who still don’t know the history of Malaysia that have this BABANYONYA or it's scientific name Peranakan Community in Malaysia, especially in Melaka and Penang. Have they extinct? The answer is totally no. In fact, we are conquering Malaysia little by little. For those who still not sure which Alien Category are we or from which planet we come from, please refer to the history of this precious community.

BABANYONYA or PERANANKAN is the term used popularly for descendants of early Chinese immigrants to the Nusantara region, including the British Straits Settlements of Singapore, Malacca and Penang, and the Dutch controlled island of Java among other areas, who have partially adopted Malay customs in an effort to be assimilated into the local communities.
The word of PERANAKAN is also used commonly to describe Indonesia Chinese. In both BM & Bahasa Indonesia, PERANAKAN means descendant. BABA is referring to the male descendants and NYONYA is the female. Most PERANAKAN are of Hokkein ancestry, although fair denominations of them are of the Teochew or Cantonese descent. The language of the PERANAKAN, Baba Malay (Bahasa Melayu Baba), is a dialect of the Malay Language which contains many Hokkein works.

The BABANYONYA were partially assimilated into the Malay culture, especially in food, dress and language used, while retaining some of the Chinese traditions and culture, like religion, name, folk medicine and festival celebrations, thereby creating a new kind of mixed culture of their country of origin with local. Most of the Peranakan are not Muslim, but Buddhist and Christians, and have retained the ancestral worship tradition of the Chinese, especially of their wedding ceremony is largely based upon the Chinese tradition.
